Match report Another Win!!
Lewdown lost the toss on a very wet wicket and were inserted. As expected the wicket seamed around extravagently, it also exhibited variable bounce. Lewdown were soon two wickets down. Rich Hayden Joined Clive Marais and built what ended up as match winning partnership of 70. Rich Hayden departed for 19, Clive Marais going on to score 54. The remainder of the team contributed, and built the innings to 124, but the team were again disappointingly bowled out for the second week running without using all of their overs.
in response Lewdown bowled and fielded brilliantly to restrict Werrington to hardly any scoring shots. their opener stuck around for around 30 overs with wickets regularly falling at the other end. they eventually capitulated to 82 all out in the 38th over.
A proper tough game of cricket!
